Science intent

At Wragby, we believe science fosters a healthy curiosity in children about the universe and develops respect for all things living and non-living. Through our curriculum, we want to promote communication using scientific vocabulary and develop an enquiring mind where children can generate original ideas and a questioning attitude. We encourage our children to be open- minded and to persevere as they try and make sense of the world around them. Working scientifically is an essential aspect of our curriculum, enabling children to develop ways of finding out for themselves and experience ways to solve problems. We recognise that we are living in an increasingly scientific and technical age and our curriculum aims to equip our children with the knowledge, skills and attitudes for life in the 21^st century; including those that they need for their education, their careers and life beyond.
