Welcome to Class 5!
Welcome to Year 5 at Wragby Primary School!
This autumn term, we are diving into the exciting world of the Vikings. Our Literacy lessons explore this topic through a range of text types, including instructions, narratives and non-fiction writing. We are also thoroughly enjoying our class book, Viking Boy, which we read together every day.
In Maths, we are developing our confidence with the four operations and applying these skills to problem-solving challenges.
A highlight of the term is our yearly residential trip to PGL Caythorpe, where the children take part in a wide range of adventurous outdoor activities.
We are looking forward to a fantastic term of learning, exploration and fun!

Sarah Biffin
Class 5 have been busy exploring the work of Sarah Biffin, a miniturist artist who painted miniture portraits by holding the paint brush in her mouth. The children created their own miniture portraits of Sarah Biffin, using watercolours. The children have built upon their Y4 knowledge of watercolour skills, learning how to create different skin tone colours.
We have also learnt the Seven Elements of Art: Colour, Form, Shape, Space, Texture, Value and Line.
Our Class Book
Our class book this term is 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' by Roald Dahl.

TT Rockstar England Rocks! Champions!
Class 5 worked really hard to win the TT Rockstars challenge. We managed to beat all the other classes in KS2 by a huge amount!
WELL DONE EVERYONE!!!
