Welcome to Class 5!
Our class teachers are Mrs Silvester and Mrs Hughes, we also have the lovely Mrs Burbridge working in class with us. We currently have 27 wonderful children in our class.
Our three topics are, 'Explorers and Settlers, Space and Welcome to the Jungle'.
We start our busy year with a fantastic residental trip to PGL Caythorpe followed by a wonderful day trip to the National Space Centre Leicester.

Sarah Biffin
Class 5 have been busy exploring the work of Sarah Biffin, a miniturist artist who painted miniture portraits by holding the paint brush in her mouth. The children created their own miniture portraits of Sarah Biffin, using watercolours. The children have built upon their Y4 knowledge of watercolour skills, learning how to create different skin tone colours.
We have also learnt the Seven Elements of Art: Colour, Form, Shape, Space, Texture, Value and Line.
Our Class Book
Our class book this term is 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' by Roald Dahl.

TT Rockstar England Rocks! Champions!
Class 5 worked really hard to win the TT Rockstars challenge. We managed to beat all the other classes in KS2 by a huge amount!
WELL DONE EVERYONE!!!
