Welcome to Class 4!
We currently have 23 children in our class. Our Class teacher is Mrs Snowden and we have Mrs Brewster as our Teaching Assistant and Miss Boothby and Mrs Hill also support us. We enjoy working creatively and being challenged in our learning. We work hard and celebrate our achievements. We enjoy school trips, including a residential to Rand Farm Park.
In class 4 we love to read and have a class book for each of our topics - Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief in the Autumn term, Michael Morpurgos Kensukes Kingdom and The Butterfly Lion in the Spring term, and Oliver Twist in the Summer term.
We also enjoy playing TTRockstars and Spelling Shed in Year 4, it can be very competitive!

Matisse inspired art - As part of our Greek topic we study Henri Matisse Icarus artwork and tried to use his technique of painting with scissors to create our own inspired work.
Cubist art - As part of our Around the World topic, we looked at several artists worldwide and how they used colour in their work. We looked at Pablo Picasso and his Weeping Women painting as a basis for our own portraits.
Animals and their habitats
As part of our science topic we went out into the playground to find and sketch different living things.
Haribo Classification keys
As part of our science topic on animals and their habitats, we have been learning about classification keys. We used Haribo sweets to create our classification keys. We even got to eat them afterward!!
